IMPORTANT NOTICE FOR INDIAN IC HOLDERS October 9, 2009 The Government of India has recently changed the passport rules and as a part of this change, we have been informed by the Bureau of His Holiness the Dalai Lama in New Delhi that: 1) Those Tibetans holding ICs (Identity Certificate), a yellow travel document, will have to return to India before the expiry of IC and the new ICs will be processed within a period of month. 2) The Indian missions abroad will continue to issue additional booklet (if visa sheets are exhausted) and also replace lost ICs as long as these are valid.
